Abstract

A modified two-state model has been assumed in order to investigate the temperature dependence of adiabatic volume viscosities ${\ensuremath{\eta}}_{v}$,${\ensuremath{\eta}}_{v}^{\ensuremath{'}}$, and mole fraction ${x}_{2}$ in the antiparallel dipole state in ethanol. The results show that about 90% of ethanol molecules are in the higher free-energy state.
