Abstract

This research uses the “Typical meteorological year 3” actually observed by the Central Weather Bureau to analyze hourly meteorological data of TMY3 typical meteorological years for 8760 hours in Taipei, Hualien, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung, inputting meteorological data for up to 15 years (1998–2012). While using the parametric design program “Rhino Grasshopper” and its open source plug-in “Ladybug” to shorten the simulation analysis calculation time and workflow to get intuitive data visualization graphic of wind environment. In the future, under extreme climate and warming climate environment, it is extremely important to conduct scientific simulation and evaluation of the performance under wind environment. We can not only be providing a reference for the initial assessment of architectural design, in order to create a sustainable, energy-saving, healthy and happy living area, but also can be providing a new idea between “future climate and wind environment” and “architectural design”. This research predicts that if future architectural education uses visual analysis of big data and meteorological data to make early architectural design choices, it will have the following three advantages: 1.Providing valuable data for visual analysis. 2.Improving the thinking of localization of architectural education: Taiwan's optimize design solutions and optimization selection in the hot and humid climate environment. 3.Predicting building energy-saving operations and energy development based on knowledge-based design.
