Abstract

Case Presentation: A 28-year-old white woman presented to the clinic for evaluation of “Cushing syndrome” because of moon facies and hypertension. The patient had noted worsening fatigue, weight gain (18.1 kg), and irregular menstrual cycles during the past year. During the past 6 months, she also had noted hirsutism and flushing episodes. Her medical history included hypertension that was well controlled with amlodipine. Her family history included abnormal body habitus and prominent musculature in her father and a paternal aunt.
