Abstract

Within the educational field, virtual reality has become an innovative resource that integrates a more practical and meaningful learning contributing to an improvement in the educational system, in a special way, it promotes motivation, own generation of knowledge and a more active participation of students, however, it is relevant that its application is responsible on the part of the actors, because it could become a distractor. In this context, the present research is aimed at proposing the use of virtual reality to improve academic performance in higher education students. Regarding the methodology, a study with a non-experimental design and descriptive scope was applied, through the application of a validated instrument and the analysis of the information collected was carried out through descriptive statistical tests, evidencing that there is a great interest on the part of the surveyed students for the use of virtual reality in classes, that is, 4 stages (ADAAR) are proposed for the implementation of this digital tool that will promote meaningful learning and with it the improvement of academic performance.
