NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care have published a delivery plan outlining commitments to tackle the 8am rush for GP appointments and make it easier for patients to get the help they need from primary care. The plan focuses on a much bigger role for pharmacists in managing patients’ common ailments, but does the already‐overstretched pharmacy sector feel supported enough to take it on?
