Abstract

The radical perineal prostatectomy is a minimally invasive procedure to treat early stage prostate cancer and can be performed in an extended dissection with pelvic lymph nodes dissection with the same incision or in selected patients as nerve sparing technique preserving potency and improving early continence. The nerve sparing procedure can be performed as an interfascially, or in selected patients, as an intrafascial nerve sparing procedure.
