Abstract

In order to evaluate the effects of the support post length, the mass supported by post and the hemispherical radii of both post and seat on the vibrational characteristics of the support post structure in HTR, vibration tests were carried out by using a vertical two-dimensional vibration model. Additionally the experimental results were compared with the analytical ones obtained from the Lagrange's equation. The followings are the conclusions derived: 1. The resonance frequency of support post structure is dependent on the length of post as well as the radii of post and seat, but almost independent of the mass supported by post.2. The analytical results agree well with the experimental ones.
