Abstract

The VNIItsvetmet (All-Union Scientific-Research Institute of Nonferrous Metallurgy) and Ust'-Kamenogorsk Highway Engineering Institute developed batch and continous vibration mixers. The functioning of these mixers is based on the principle of use of circular or elliptic vibrations perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of a horizontal cylindric or V-shaped vessel provided inside with rigidly fixed reverse screw guides interset with some gap. Finds that mixers of the proposed design permit effective mixing of free-flowing materials with any initial degree of nonuniformity and any difference in densities. The economic benefit derived from the introduction of 2 pilot-scale mixers was 58,000 rubles.
