Abstract

With the continuous development of the wireless sensor networks, wireless communication technology and micro-electromechanical systems, the power supply system of the micro-energy attracts people's more attention. Mechanical vibration energy is widely found in nature. Studies show that using inverse effect of Magnetically controlled Shape Memory Alloy (MSMA) can convert the vibrational energy in the natural world into electrical energy to implement power supply for wireless sensor network and micro electro-mechanical systems. Analyzing principles of MSMA vibration energy harvesting and using MSMA test system to study the feasibility of generating induced voltage under the interaction of the external force and magnetic field. The device of vibration energy harvesting is designed in the paper. Because MSMA materials can generate low AC voltage under vibration, not directly supply power for the load, the power management circuit is designed to improve the storage capacity and storage efficiency of vibration energy in order to output stable DC and supply power for the load such as wireless sensor networks. This paper presents a power management system of DC/DC boost converter circuit, and circuit simulation software LTspice is used to design the circuit simulation. The simulation results validate the stability of output voltage and realize the sustained and stable power supply for load.
