Crane, P. C. Abstract Thirty-one optically bright galaxies with compact radio nuclei have been observed with a 20-million-wavelength baseline at 2380 MHz. Thirteen nuclei have been detected, with angular sizes smaller than 0.01 arcsec. Twelve of the detected nuclei have flat spectra and are about 1 pc, or smaller, in size. This confirms the continuity of properties from the radio nuclei of strong radio galaxies to the less-luminous nuclei of nearby bright galaxies.
