Abstract

Echinococcus granulosus is a cestode causing disease in human beings. Both the vertebral column and cervicofacial region are uncommon sites for hydatid involve‐ment, even in countries of the Middle East, South America, Australia, and New Zealand, where Echinococcus infestation is high.1 It was stated that only 1 in 1000 cases will exhibit cervical spine infestation, if the spine is infected in 1% to 2% of hydatid cases.12
