Abstract

An algorithm for discriminating ventricular fibrillation (VF) signals from ventricular tachycardia(VT) signals by the adaptive technique is presented. This algorithm first adopts the VF and VT signals as the primary input of the adaptive filter and the reference signals can be conveniently obtained by suitable dalay. The energy of the error signal(EE) can act as an eigenvalue. The decision-making thresholds are determined by the learning period. Next the sequential testing Is employed, which identifies 97.4% VF and 100% VT episodes after three times of test.
