Abstract
<h3>In Reply.</h3> —Dr Fryczkowski and associates have suggested that some aspects of our recent article might have been confusing or misleading to readers unfamiliar with the vascular casting technique. The manually injected casting compound we used is<i>correctly</i>described in the "Materials and Methods" section and is a modification of Batson's original recipe. Just as Nopanitaya et al<sup>1</sup>used Sevriton to reduce the viscosity of the original Batson's compound, we have used methyl methacrylate for the same purpose. We have, in the past, used Sevriton but now prefer to use methyl methacrylate because it gives comparable results and is far less expensive. The recipe we use has been used extensively by other investigators, and we are somewhat surprised Dr Fryczkowski and associates are unaware of it. Although the formula we use is correctly reported, this is an appropriate forum to correct a truly incorrect recipe that was previously published
