Abstract

Abstract Objective To present the results on the use of a single block limbal autograft, combined with amniotic membrane transplantation and sectoral sequential postoperative epitheliectomy of the conjunctiva in 2 patients with unilateral total limbal stem cell deficiency. Conclusions A single block limbal autograft combined with amniotic membrane transplantation may be sufficient to restore a stable corneal surface, but sometimes sequential sectoral conjunctival epitheliectomy may be required to treat anomalous epithelial remnants.
