Abstract Vanadis 30 is cobalt alloyed high-performance, high-speed steel made by powder metallurgy. The cobalt addition of approximately 8.5% has a positive influence on the hot strength, hot hardness, temper resistance, and modulus of elasticity. Punches are a suitable application for this alloy. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on wear resistance as well as heat treating and surface treatment.
