Abstract
In this paper we collect a series of recent data culled from various statistical sources on the situation of young people and their employment prospects in Spain and Andalusia to contrast the extent to which forms of individual and collective entrepreneurship as an alternative increasingly more affordable for this group. First contextualize how to start a business is an investment choice in the Spanish youth. Then we addressed about young entrepreneurs vocation and knowledge of the social economy in Andalusia this case. Finally, we will propose some ideas conclusive because the data presented that the attitudes expressed may be an indicator of the opportunities or obstacles to the development of these forms of enterprise in the future.

Más de la mitad de los jóvenes de entre 16 y 29 años en España –a pesar de su paulatina disminución porcentual en el conjunto de la población3– no encuentra trabajo en 2012 según la Encuesta de Población Activa: la cifra más alta dentro de la Unión Europea, duplicando la media de esta. Sin embargo las cooperativas y las empresas de economía social ofrecen oportunidades a los jóvenes que responden a sus necesidades prácticas y estratégicas, poniendo a su disposición un modelo de empresa para crear sus propios negocios desde unos valores más próximos a la mentalidad propia de la edad: gestión democrática, responsable y ética. A pesar de las limitaciones que supone el uso de fuentes heterogéneas, con este trabajo se pretende contrastar en qué medida las formas de emprendimiento individual y colectivo se presentan como una alternativa cada vez más asequible para la juventud española. Por último se proponen algunas ideas conclusivas a raíz de los datos expuestos
