Abstract
A new type of supported vanadium oxide catalyst V–BaCO3, which consists of barium orthovanadate Ba3(VO4)2 and BaCO3 phases, has been used in the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane. The catalyst with the ratio of V/Ba from 0.1 to 0.3 exhibited high catalytic activity for oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane, with particularly high activity for ethene production.
