Utilization of Android-Based Animation Video Learning Media to Increase Student Motivation for Learning Arabic in Higher Education

Carrying out the duties of an educator in the 21st century, particularly at the higher education level, requires the ability to develop educational skills in conjunction with advanced technological products in the form of digital applications to support learning activities. One such application is the Android-based animation video application, Plotagon Story. This study aims to determine the level of student motivation in learning Arabic using the Plotagon application. The research method used is qualitative, utilizing questionnaires distributed to respondents. The results of this study indicate that Android-based animation videos using the Plotagon Story application can provide motivation and enthusiasm for students in learning Arabic. The implications of these findings are that the Plotagon application can increase student motivation in learning Arabic and enhance their creativity and ability to meet the challenges of mastering technology-based learning media integrated with good language proficiency.

The background of this research is to improve the quality of student learning and student achievement in Pancasila and civic education lessons by using video media that can be used to channel messages so that it can stimulate thoughts, feelings, concerns, and interests, students' attention so that students' motivation in learning increases. This study aims to: 1) Describe the teacher's process in implementing video media in Civics learning. 2) Knowing the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing video media in Civics learning 3). Describes students' motivation in using video media in Civics learning. This study uses behavioristic theory, this theory examines human behavior. The type of research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were teachers of Pancasila and Citizenship Education at SMAN 1 Lunang, Deputy Curriculum at SMAN 1 Lunang and students from class XI Social Sciences at SMAN I at Lunang. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research that has been done, found: 1) In implementing video media in Civics learning, the teacher first looks for learning videos on YouTube and then adjusts them to the lesson plans and modules, after that the teacher plays the videos in class according to the appropriate methods and procedures. So as to produce effective, efficient learning and increase student motivation. This is because the enthusiasm of students in learning increases. 2) Obstacles that are often experienced in using video media are teachers who have difficulty managing learning time with the duration of the video, with the duration of lesson hours. 3) The motivation of students in using video media in Civics learning is able to make students' attention focus on learning so that all questions given by the teacher are answered by students.

The purpose of this study is first, to determine the increase in student motivation with the use of problem-based learning models. Second, to determine the increase in student learning outcomes with the use of problem-based learning models. Third, to determine the effectiveness of using problem-based learning models in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes. In this study, the research method used is a quantitative research method with an experimental approach. The quantitative method is a scientific/scientific method because it meets scientific principles, namely concrete/empirical, objective, measurable, rational, and systematic. The results showed that to find out the increase in student learning motivation, the researcher collected data by distributing questionnaires to students at the beginning of learning before being given treatment using a problem-based learning model, this questionnaire aims to determine students' initial motivation, then after being given treatment using a problem-based learning model problem, for the second time the researcher distributed the same questionnaire to find out the students' final motivation. From the results of the initial and final questionnaires, an increase of 33.5% was obtained. The effectiveness of using problem-based learning models is obtained from the results of observations made during learning activities, from the results of these observations it is known that many students are involved or active in learning

The teaching and learning process is a process that involves participants and educators. The teaching and learning process will be successful if there is interaction between the two parties. Along with the development of information technology, especially the internet in information systems, the teaching and learning process has utilized information technology both from elementary, secondary and higher education levels. Especially for higher education which requires students to be more independent and active in the learning process, information technology is considered very helpful for students. As one of the information technology-based universities, STIKOM Bali utilizes e-learning to support the learning process. Lecturers and students are required to use and utilize e-learning as a means to share information related to lecture materials, assignments, quizzes, discussion forums and others. One of the goals of implementing e-learning in lectures is to increase student learning motivation so that learning achievement will be better. It is also hoped that students will be more interested in the lecture process. One of the things that affect student learning motivation is learning media. The learning media referred to in this study is e-learning learning media. The long and stable application of e-learning at STIKOM Bali is thought to be one of the drivers of student learning motivation. The research method used in this research is problem definition, data collection, data analysis and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of hypothesis testing with H1 hypothesis regression with a significance value of 0.000 and a t-count of 4.015 proven, so that it is concluded that according to STIKOM Bali students e-learning affects student learning motivation.

The use of social media can be used as a learning media as in the learning of chemistry. Utilization of social media as a medium of chemistry learning, is considered capable of increasing student motivation and digital literacy. This study aims to analyze the research trends of social media -based learning media, multiple representations of chemical materials and increase student learning motivation. This research method uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Research data obtained from 20 articles originating from the Eric and Google Scholar database. The SLR method is used to identify, review, evaluate and interpret all studies available in the field of subjects that are of interest to a phenomenon involving certain related research questions. Based on the literature review that has been done it can be concluded that research on social media as a learning medium for hydrolysis of salt -based multiple representation can be done with various considerations of the results of previous research.

This thesis discusses the use of edmodo media in learning Islamic Religious Education in increasing the learning motivation of class XII science students of SMA Negeri 3 Mamuju, The objectives of this study are (1) To find out how the use of edmodo media in learning Islamic Religious Education in class XII science students at SMA Negeri 3 Mamuju. (2) To find out how the level of learning motivation of class XII science students in Islamic Religious Education Learning at SMA Negeri 3 Mamuju (3) Shows that the use of edmodo media in PAI learning can increase the learning motivation of class XII science students at SMA Negeri 3 Mamuju.This research uses a quantitative approach, the type of research is quasi-experimental design research (pseudo-experiment). The population in this study was all class XII science students totaling 60 people. In sampling, the Cluster Random Sampling technique is used, with class XII IPA 1 as the experimental class and class XII IPA 2 as the control class. The research instrument is observation with data collection techniques, observing student activities during learning, providing tests, questionnaires before and after learning to measure student learning motivation, and documentation. The results of this study show that : (1) The use of edmodo media in learning Islamic Religious Education can increase learning motivation in students of grade XII Science SMA Negeri 3 Mamuju. This is evident from the Independent Samples T Test (T test) questionnaire data after learning with edmodo media was applied. the result obtained is Sig (2-tailed) = 0.040 2 α (0.1) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. (2) Based on questionnaire data tests and observations conducted by researchers, it was found that the level of student motivation was very high in the experimental class after being given treatment than in the control class. As for the results of the data obtained Sig (2-tailed) = 0.040 2 α (0.10), H0 failed to be rejected and H1 was accepted.

Penerapan Strategi Pembelajaran Quick on the Draw untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa

This research begins with students perceiving mathematics as a difficult and saturating subject, which causes students to be passive and less enthusiastic about learning and asking questions. To overcome this problem, a quick on the draw strategy is used with the game learning which is expected to make learning that was difficult to be memorable and fun, so that it can increase student motivation. This study aims to determine the increase in student motivation by using the quick on the draw strategy. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in 2 cycles and each cycle there are 2 meetings. Which consists of four stages, namely the stages of preparation, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class V Elementary School of Pahlawan. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis, which starts from collecting data, compiling and organizing data, processing data, presenting data and analyzing numerical data in order to provide an overview of a symptom, event or situation. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning motivation, where before the action was taken 34.3% was obtained in the low category. Meanwhile, after taking corrective action by implementing the quick on the draw strategy in the first cycle, student learning motivation increased by 65.2% in the good category. And the action in cycle II also increased student motivation to be 81.6% in the very good category. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the quick on the draw strategy can increase student motivation in Mathematics subjects.

Increasing Student Motivation through the Use of Alternative Assessments in Basic Physics Online Lectures

Poor student motivation in the online lecture process encourages researchers to provide a treatment that results in better student motivation in basic physics courses. Student learning motivation in the basic physics course is 30.38 with a poor category. The treatment applied in this study is to apply alternative assessments in the form of paper assessments, knowledge assessments, portfolio assessments, and discussion assessments. This study aims to determine how to increase learning motivation that occurs in students after the implementation of alternative assessments in online lectures. The research method used in this study is a pre-experimental method with one group pretest posttest design. The instrument used is a scale of student learning motivation attitudes using a Likert scale. Student learning motivation after the implementation of the alternative assessment has a value of 89.50 in the very good category. The increase in student learning motivation has increased significantly with a value of <N-Gain> of 0.85. Various assessments that are not only concerned with knowledge competencies can increase student motivation in carrying out basic physics online lectures.

Implementation of Project-Based Learning to Increase Student Engagement and Motivation in Learning Islamic Religious Education

Abstract: This study aims to increase students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) through the application of Project-Based Learning (PJBL) model at SMP Negeri 2 Pallangga. Islamic Education has an important role in instilling moral, ethical, and religious values that are the basis of the life of the nation and state. However, the challenge faced in PAI learning is the low motivation of students to learn which has an impact on the understanding and application of religious values in everyday life. This study used the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with a cyclical approach consisting of two cycles, referring to the classroom action research framework developed by Kemmis and McTaggart, involving 28 students. The research results from the first cycle showed that the majority of students were in the moderate category, with scores ranging from 59% to 73%. In the second cycle, all students managed to reach the “High” category, with scores ranging from 76% to 90%, reflecting the success of the teaching method applied. These findings suggest that PjBL is effective in increasing students' motivation by giving them control over the learning process and encouraging active participation in collaborative projects. This study concludes that PjBL can significantly improve students' engagement and achievement in Islamic Religious Education. Increasing the Environment Feel in Learning through the Double S Application

In this era of globalization, English has become the second language for some non-English speaking countries. But in Indonesia, English is actually being a foreign language. This is because learning English in junior high school is monotonous and boring. So students’ interest in learning is reduced. The purpose of this study is to create a media for learning English so that it can increase interest the environment feel in learning and trigger students’ enthusiasm in learning English subjects. The learning media is spinning wheel and a jumbo puzzle with picture of the Siak Palace. This learning media was tested limited to students of Pekanbaru Az-Zuhra Islamic Middle School. Students were divided into 3 groups. The group representatives would spin the spinning wheel which contained the difficulty level of the quiz and the group would discuss to answer the quiz about the material. After that, the group with the correct answers would paste several puzzles on the board according to the score that they obtained from the previous quiz. From the results of this limited test, based on questionnaires given after learning, it appears that there is an increase in interest and enthusiasm of students in learning English through this media. This learning media in general can build interest and increase student motivation in learning English and can build skills to work together in learning groups.

This study aims to analyze the application of Powtoon as a learning medium to improve student motivation and learning outcomes in economics in 10th-grade students at SMAS IPIEMS Surabaya. The background of this study is low student motivation and unsatisfactory learning outcomes, primarily due to the learning media used being conventional and uninteresting. In today's digital era, students tend to be more attracted to visual and innovative media that can stimulate their attention and interest in learning. Powtoon, as an animation-based learning medium, is considered capable of presenting learning materials in an engaging, enjoyable, and easy-to-understand manner. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, comparing learning outcomes and motivation levels between the experimental group using Powtoon and the control group using conventional methods. The instruments used included a learning motivation questionnaire and a learning outcome test. The analysis results showed a significant increase in student motivation and learning outcomes in the class using Powtoon. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Powtoon is effective in improving the quality of economics learning at the secondary school level.

Educational reforms can be carried out on the use of learning media. PowerPoint can be used as a learning media. The features in PowerPoint are variations in the delivery of material so that it can foster student learning motivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in thematic learning motivation of third-grade students of SD Negeri Corongan using PowerPoint as a learning media. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were students of class III SD Negeri Corongan. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the use of PowerPoint media can increase students' learning motivation. The pre-action observation had an average score of 52%. Based on the results of observations in the second cycle with a percentage of 83%. The increase in student motivation is also shown in the results of the questionnaire analysis. The results of the questionnaire in the second cycle with a percentage of 82%. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that teachers will consider the use of PowerPoint media to increase students' learning motivation in elementary schools.

The article deals with the issues of educational motivation of students in physical education classes in the implementation of programs of mixed type of education. The problem of motivational learning and sense-forming motives is investigated. The means and methods that influence the increase in the motivation of students are analyzed. The role of the application of information and communication technologies for interest in the discipline “Physical cultureˮ is noted. In conclusion, the factors contributing to the increase in the educational motivation of students for physical education classes are noted.

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of using technology-based digital learning media, particularly video media, in enhancing students' motivation in religious education in the fourth grade of SDN 012 Ujung Batu III. The research method used was direct observation with a qualitative approach. The results of the research indicate that the use of video media in religious education is effective in increasing interest, active participation, and an engaging learning environment. In the context of religious education in the fourth grade of SDN 012 Ujung Batu III, the use of technology-based digital learning media has a significant positive impact on students' motivation and learning achievement. The recommendations of this research emphasize the importance of teachers using video media and interactive learning methods to maintain student motivation and create an interesting and inspiring learning environment.

Study aims to examine the enhancement of student motivation and affective aspects related to collaboration and critical thinking through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model at UPT SPF SDN 101864 GUNUNG RINTIH. The research is grounded in issues such as low motivation, limited student engagement due to large class sizes, and the need to improve social skills within the context of Catholic Religious Education (PAK) and Character Education. This research employs a classroom action research design, involving the steps of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection in each cycle. The study consists of two cycles conducted with third-grade students at UPT SPF SDN 101864 GUNUNG RINTIH focusing on PAK content. The research is carried out in September 2024. Data collection techniques include observation and rubrics for assessing student motivation and affective dimensions of collaboration and critical thinking. Data analysis utilizes descriptive qualitative techniques. Results from the first cycle indicates an improvement in student motivation and engagement, though the targets were not fully met. In the second cycle, there was a significant increase in both student motivation and affective dimensions. The research demonstrated a 35% increase in student motivation and engagement in PAK learning, suggesting that the PBL approach fosters a more active and collaborative learning environment. This study is expected to contribute to providing holistic and meaningful education for students, aligning with the objectives of the Merdeka Curriculum and the values outlined in the Pancasila Student Profile.
