Abstract

We report an image (Figure 1) of uterine necrosis in a 36-year-old female, hospitalized in our department 21 days after surgical treatment for postpartum hemorrhage. The delivery was assisted by forceps and a male newborn with a weight of 3800 grams was born. The immediate postpartum period was complicated by vaginal and uterine bleeding. The patient underwent artery ligation after failure of medical methods.
