Abstract

Achieving a satisfactory treatment outcome of madibular complete denture with good stability and retention is a considerable challenge. Previous studies have shown that a mandibular two-implant retained overdenture is superior to the conventional denture. Thereby, the two-implant assisted mandibular overdenture is the first treatment option for mandibular edentulous patient. Furthermore the clinicians always encounter the problem with unstable record bases made from block-out master casts during the bite registration procedure. The Biofunctional Prosthetic System (BPS^®) can solve the problem with Gnathometer to take bite right after final impression. In this case report, we used BPS^® to fabricate the maxillary complete denture and mandibular two implant-retained overdenture for a 63-year-old female patient.
