Apresenta-se neste artigo uma introdução à história da Usina Hidrelétrica do Piraí, em funcionamento desde 1908 em Joinville, Santa Catarina, ressaltando algumas de suas interfaces e correlações que fazem parte do patrimônio industrial local.
