Abstract
Human resources are the most important asset of the organizations, therefore the management of human resources are needed to improve organizations performance. Organizations need an information system, known as the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to make the process of managing employees become more effective and efficient. The change of organizations' needs, make the information system is also changing. The resistance of employees to accept the changes of the new information system is a problem that can not be avoided. The purpose of this research is to identify factors that influence user acceptance of HRIS system. The research model builds by integrating UTAUT, TTF, and Symbolic Adoption model. The research data obtained by distributing 156 questionnaires to HRIS users in one of the coal mining companies. The results of this study indicate that Task Technology Fit and Social Influence are factors that influence users acceptance in using HRIS. This study also proves that Task Technology Fit is influenced by Task Characteristics and Technology Characteristics.
