Abstract
All excisions were performed under local anesthesia with an adequate safety margin of normal skin. The donor site was selected according to tissue quality, color, texture, and thickness that could match the surrounding nose skin. Because nose skin tends to be thick and heavily populated with sebaceous glands, not all conventional donor sites for nose grafts are a good option, hence the suitability of the glabella. It is also important to consider the presence of glabellar hyperdynamic furrows at rest and redundant tissue that provides an adequate bank of loose tissue. If severe actinic keratosis or seborrheic dermatitis is present, another site must be sought.
