Abstract

Oligoetherols with a carbazole ring and azo group were used in reaction with certain diisocyanate to obtain urethane oligomers. The compounds were isolated and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis and H NMR spectroscopy. It has been found that the oligomers possess enhanced thermal stability in comparison with analogous oligomers with no azo groups.
