Abstract
The development of the urban system in urban areas led to the need to improve the thinking about road traffic safety, which led to the adoption of the concept of Urban Road Traffic Safety. However, urban road traffic safety as a new concept has numerous challenges that need to be overcome in order to see the overall benefits of the concept. The basic document of urban road traffic safety is the Sustainable Urban Mobility plan, which manages this concept in a strategic way.
