Abstract
Circumcision dates to times well beyond 3000 years past, possibly 15000 years; across continents, religions and cultures. It remains one of the most commonly performed operations worldwide. Proponents speak of cleanliness, reduced incidences of carcinoma of the penis or infections including HIV. Detractors mention reduced sensation, which is debatable, but also the abuse of the baby's ‘human rights'!
