Abstract
Each year, 20 million infants do not receive a full course of even basic vaccines, and many more miss out on newer vaccines.1–4 13 million infants receive no vaccines at all. In some countries, progress has stalled or even reversed over the past decade. This complacency undermines past achievements and leads to a lack of service compliance, vaccine hesitancy, and scepticism.5 In turn, this leads to insufficient funding and difficulties in reaching vulnerable populations.1–4,6
