Abstract

The union vulnerability audit is a vital tool for organizations that choose to remain union‐free. It helps to identify weaknesses in personnel policies or practices that make the organization more vulnerable to unionization. Correcting weaknesses is far preferable to being forced to negotiate fixes in a union contract. Audit questions are asked by management to management. This is in contrast to employee attitude surveys, which are themselves another tool for union avoidance.
