Abstract
Jezierski believes the BBC's internet dominance is, in the end, incompatible with rival commercial existence, and writes: "The BBC's website is, and should be seen to be, an affront to all those working in the media or those who wish to. Its very existence is, paradoxically, a disservice to the public because it deprives it of the central benefit the internet offers over other media: the potential for wide diversity. The BBC operation, which is in effect a state website, constitutes a diminution of freedom because it discourages the dissemination of different perspectives."
