Abstract

The mutation of pruned tree : the green belt of Frankfurt – In 1989, the Frankfurt City Council of the SPD-Greens majority has decided as part of its policy of reducing the pollution of the city and its environment, the realization of a Green Belt : the GrünGürtel. At the end of 1990, as the Municipal Council was hesitating about its feasibility because of the disparity of land planned, the deputy mayor and project manager Tom Koenigs asked me, as one of the international experts he consulted, to present to them the approach that I had studied on the basis of my proposal «Heterogeneity is more welcoming than Homogeneity » involving dissociation between place and function, and finding new relationships of presence between the elements and on their very constitution.
