Summary

Introduction

Such was the case with the discovery of the Hepatitis B virus (HBV). Chronic HCV (CHCV) is a common and important cause of hepatitis leading towards endstage liver disease liver cirrhosis, and cancer and Insulin resistance[4,5], that is a metabolic disorder leading to the development of Diabetes mellitus[6]. HBV and HCV are reported to be one of the most common causes of Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In Pakistan, around 10 million peoples had HCV infection and the prevalence rates were the highest in the world[11]. An investigation report on the patients suffering from chronic liver disease (CLD), says that 39 (57%) were having HBV infection and 30 (43%) were positive for HCV16. They said that there was a trend of HBV infection in babies if parents were infected with HBV17
