Un reglamento para el juego imposible. Debates sobre la democracia y la desperonización (1955-1957)

Abstract

Este trabajo indaga en el debate público celebrado al interior del campo antiperonista en las primeras etapas de la llamada Revolución Libertadora. Su objetivo es reconstruir sentidos y representaciones puestas en juego por parte de actores partidarios y militares en la pretendida construcción de un nuevo orden político posterior al derrocamiento de Perón. En ese sentido, se examina el uso que los grupos antiperonistas dieron a nociones como revolución, democracia, totalitarismo y demagogia a la hora de hacer un balance crítico del pasado reciente y de imaginar las condiciones para la refundación del orden político. El propósito es analizar los límites y derivaciones de aquel primer ensayo de solución a la “cuestión peronista”, que anticiparía algunos de los dilemas principales en torno a la proscripción de dicha fuerza política.Palabras clave: peronismo, Revolución Libertadora, democracia, totalitarismo, demagogia A rulebook for the impossible game. Debates on democracy and deperonization (1955-1957) AbstractThis research looks into the public debate held within the anti-Peronist camp in the first stages of the so-called Revolución Libertadora. Its aim is to reconstruct the meanings and representations put forth by partisan and military actors in the purported construction of a new political order following Perón's overthrow. In this regard, it examines how anti-Peronist groups utilized notions such as revolution, democracy, totalitarianism, and demagogy when critically assessing the recent past and imagining the conditions for the refoundation of the political order.
