Abstract

The effect of field induced anisotropy of sound absorption within the framework of two-phase model of magnetic liquid is considered. The model takes into account mutual interaction of magnetic particle clusters constituting soft skeleton and interaction of these clusters with carrier liquid. Theoretical predictions of the model are discussed and compared with experimental data of the anisotropy of sound absorption coefficient for different intensity of external magnetic field.
