Abstract
In this paper, the ultrahigh step-down converter with an active clamp circuit is proposed. With the active clamp circuit, the voltage spike across the central-tapped switch can be suppressed. The switches can achieve zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) turn-on or zero-current-switching (ZCS) turn-off. Finally, theoretical analysis and experimental results are given to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed converter.
