Abstract

This article presents a band-notched ultra-wideband antenna having a pair of stop bands. These stop bands are located in close proximity on the frequency spectrum. Each stop band is created by a resonant element that is distinctly separate from the radiating part of the antenna. For these reasons, each of the stop bands can be turned on and off independently. The article demonstrates that this could be achieved using six microwave switches. The location of the two stop bands can also be controlled independently. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
