Abstract
Abstract UHB STAVAX ESR is a high-chromium (13.6%) martensitic stainless plastic-mold steel. It is Electro-Slag Refined (ESR) to provide the best polishability. It is characterized by good hardenability, high hardness, excellent polishability and fair resistance to corrosion. It is used for both injection and compression plastic molds. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-331. Producer or source: Uddeholm Aktiebolag.
