Abstract
In the paper, the author analyzes the typological features of the journal “The Employee of the Press” (1912, 1915) by A. I. Hast and M. A. Hast. The author finds there traditions of popular and scientific magazine and professional publications, as well as a magazine for self-education with elements of supplement magazine and editions of other kinds.
