Abstract

Dendrophoma cytosporoides (Sacc.) Sacc., the type species of Dendrophoma Sacc., is typified by material from Saccardo's herbarium. It is shown to be congeneric with Dinemasporium graminum (Lib.) Lev., and the new combination Dinemasporium cytosporoides is proposed. Dendrophoma obscurans (Ell. & Ev.) Anderson, the causal agent of strawberry leaf blight, is not congeneric with D. cytosporoides. It is compared with Phomopsis species and the new combination Phomopsis obscurans is proposed.
