Abstract

The article is devoted to the separation of legislative discourse among other types of legal discourse. The specifics of the speaker and the addressee in the legislative discourse are characterized, its communicative purpose is determined. The typology of speech genres of legislative discourse in Ukrainian legal communication is presented. Speech genres such as law, constitution, decree, code and bylaw are analyzed. Linguo-pragmatic parameters were chosen as criteria for the typology – communicative intention and communicative positions of the speaker and the addressee. The main speech acts of the legislative discourse and its linguistic features are characterized.
