Abstract
The wideband impulse noise modelling over the subscriber loop recently conducted over the German telephone network is extended to the narrowband scenario. The narrowband impulse noise is resolved into in-phase and quadrature components and each component modelled as a generalised error distribution. Simulation is used to verify the theory.
