Abstract
This paper considers the definition of the notion “interface” in the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a class of services and its definition in the terminological standard of the International Standardization Organization as limits with certain characteristics. New diagrams representing the limits between the inputs and outputs of modular objects are suggested for introduction into the UML in order to overcome the crisis in its development.
