Abstract
The relations are obtained, which describe the probability of tunnel ionization from highly-excited hydrogen-like states in a variable field. The effect of initial state splitting into quasi-energy states in an external variable field is taken into account. The parameter γ 2 n is examined, whose value determines the character of the tunnel ionization process.
