Abstract

Silver (Ag), gold (Au) and silver-gold (Ag–Au) alloy nanoparticles films are deposited on glass substrates by using pulsed DC magnetron sputtering. The extinction spectra of Ag, Au and Ag–Au alloy nanoparticles films are studied, which shows the tunability of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) properties of the Ag–Au nanoparticles films with changing in mass thickness of Ag and Au.
