Abstract
Ethnobotanic study of Grande Lande fruit species, Landes of Gascogne natural area, begun in 1979, has permitted to repertory a lot of each specy varieties. After inventory, description and if possible varieties determination, the rarest ones, the ones are going to disappear and the most typical ones, have been grafted in the « Ecomusée de la Grande Lande » to conserve these genotypes and to study cultivars agronomic caractères (pedo-climatics conditions' adaptations, parasitism résistance, blossoming phenology, fructification types, and so on...) by appropriate biometric measures and controled hybridizations. The study of agricultural methods, cultural and alimentary traditions in keeping with these ancient cultivars, has permitted to thorough command of these species.
