Abstract
We report the preparation of tubular CdS polycrystals with zinc blende–wurtzite phases at 70 °C through the coordination between oleic acid and cadmium ions in the environmental friendly solvent of ethanol and water. The nanoparticles of CdS nucleate and grow on the fibrous cadmium complexes of oleate, exhibiting a superior size distribution and wormlike mesoporous structure.
