Abstract

ABSTRACTIn mobile ad hoc network (MANET), few nodes may be pretentious by some intrusions or attackers. These affected nodes perform as a selfish node and necessitate more energy than the obligatory energy for transmission so that intrusion detection system (IDS) is so significant in MANET. In this article, we have projected trust-based intrusion detection system technique. By means of this technique, total trust value is considered on the basis of the values of direct and indirect trust values of a node. If the considered total trust value is superior to the threshold value, the conforming node is unambiguous as a trusted node. And also, we have accessible hierarchical group key management (KM) for protected transmission. Base station in the network will dispense group key to each user or node in the network with the help of this KM. Simulation solution of our projected technique is associated with the previous work and display that lifetimes of network and delivery ratio of our work have been enhanced.
