Abstract

This article proposes a critical review of the recent epidemiological studies about the link between mental disorders and the risk of criminality. In this way, we focus on researches interested in the violent behaviours prevalence among subjects with mental disorders, in the mental disorders prevalence among inmates and at last, we examine studies on the general population and notably birth cohorts. Finally, we give prominence to the methodological bias.
