Abstract

In the structure of tricarbonyl(η 6 -1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1-naphthalenol)chromium, [Cr(CO) 3 (C 10 H 12 O)], the group of three carbonyl ligands is syn with respect to the hydroxy group. The asymmetric unit contains two molecules of the same enantiomer with no significant differences in terms of intramolecular bond lengths and bond angles. The Cr(CO) 3 tripod is complexed to the benzene ring in an eclipsed conformation. An extensive hydrogen-bonding network supports the crystal structure.
