Abstract

Triassic strata in the Beatton River area (map-area 94H) of northeast British Columbia are described and characterized largely through a series of stratigraphic cross sections and isopach maps. The Montney, Doig, Halfway, Charlie Lake, and Baldonnel formations are present, although the latter only occurs in the south-westernmost corner of the map-area. Hydrocarbons, mostly in the Halfway Formation, are an important economic asset in this part of British Columbia.
