Abstract

The result of survey of the trend in automatic control education in Japan, by means of a questionnaire is presented, together with the report on the activity of a few laboratories. The education of the fundamental theories with some applications seems to be the general practice. Some laboratories teach with sophisticated experiments. Microcomputers are becoming popular and are being used both for theory and experiment. On the whole the status appears somewhat conservative but well orgainzed.
